Night’s Watch

 

Night’s Watch is a Black Lager belonging to BJCP category 4C. Following along the lines of more traditional Schwarzbiers, it is malty, and easy to drink. Unlike traditional Schwarzbiers, it includes a significant amount of american barley, and utilizes american hops. This does not significantly move the beer out of its BJCP category, but it does go against tradition. It is very mildly bitter, with a medium body, a moderate roast that gives way to a hint of chocolate flavor, and little hop character.
