Documentary

 

Documentary is an Oak-Aged Double IPA belonging to BJCP categories 22C and 14C. It is the “big brother” of Feature Length, and like its brother, it eschews the use of dextrose and other sugars to artificially increase alcohol content without increasing body and malt flavor. As a result, it begins to approach American Barelywine (BJCP category 19C) status. It is quite bitter, with a medium-full body, a diffuse oak flavor and dryness, and a strong, somewhat citrusy hop aroma.
